Senegal - Fathala Wild Reserve
Ferry to Barra, cross into Senegal, then a 4x4 safari through Fathala Reserve among rhino, giraffe and antelope.
About this adventure
Cross the river to Barra by ferry, clear the Senegalese border, and spend the afternoon on safari in Fathala Wild Reserve — 6,000 hectares of dry forest where rhino, giraffe, zebra and antelope roam. You travel through the reserve in an open 4x4 with a ranger who reads the ground for you. The day is long and the border adds time, so we set off early and get you back by evening. **What to bring** - Passport — mandatory, no exceptions at the border - Yellow fever vaccination certificate - Hat and sunglasses - Binoculars, if you have them - Snacks for the road - January to March: a sweater for the early start
